How to Make Your Own Beauty and Fitness Planner From Old Notebook

Hi guys! Today I am back with a more simple and easy #RDIY, but this is super useful for me and for your girls or guys out there who want to keep track of your beauty and fitness routines. I tried to find a beauty planner on Play Store, but I found none and some of the fitness planners that I downloaded isn't my cup of tea, so I decided to get crafty again;)

  • So first of all, you will need an old notebook from your last school year or you can #RDIY one from unused notebook papers. I posted a post on how to do this and you can get to the site here

  • After that, take out your highlighters or Sharpies or any colourful pen that you own cuz we are going to decorate the pages inside the planner first.

First, label the month anyway you like.

  • Then, make a table to fill in all the dates and remember to keep some space down there if you want to tick the days that you exercised like what I did here. You can also add in the days if you like.

*Tip: If you want to add in the days, please arrange the 1st on the day it is supposed to be.
You can also write down some motivational quotes to motivate yourself.
  • In the end, I wrote an achievement corner, just to keep myself motivated by telling myself that I am in fact achieving a better lifestyle. I will fill it up later when I have achieved something.

  • If you want, you can also Google search for some calendars and print them out.

So on with the cover.
  • First, I took a piece of used A4 paper and turned it around. You can totally use coloured paper or gift wrapping paper like I did last time.
  • Measure how much you need by wrapping the paper around your planner and fold it.

  • Then, you can draw some pictures related to beauty and fitness on the cover or you can print some pictures out once again, but I love to draw my own cuz it is just more customisable and unique.

  • After that, you can glue or tape the edges of the paper inside the cover.

  I chose to tape it.

*Tip: If you have some paper poking out, you can just fold it in and tape it or if it is too little, just tape it like this.

  • I glued the edge of the paper to the other cover. I am not good at explaining, but just make sure it looks like the picture below.

  • After that, glue another piece of A4 paper onto the back of the cover. Yes, there is going to be a point where both pieces of paper overlap, so it is better you just use glue.

I decided to leave the back of the planner temporarily blank.

So, Ta Da! I personally think that the planner is nice and not horrible as I am a terrible artist and I am glad I didn't mess this cover up:D

So , I hope you enjoyed this week's blog post. Thanks for viewing and reading and you can always leave me a comment if you want to. Bye!
Have fun crafting!

How to Make Your Own Super Cute Desk Organizer

Hi guys! After a long time of having a super untidy and loatheble desk, I decided to #RDIY my own super cute ocean blue ombre desk organizer aka a box with dividers and I just love how it turned out and I am loving it so so much. Well, I think I always talk too much , so without further a due, let's just get started.
So here are the steps:
  • Get any type of unused box you can find in your own house. I recommend using a shoe box as they are of my desirable size.

*DO NOT THROW AWAY THE COVER. WE NEED IT TOO.

  • So first of all, choose a colour that you want your box to be. I chose blue, but I am not sure what type of blue. (I just know it looks like black.) P.S I used poster colour paint.

  • Paint your box with a paintbrush or you can just use some spray paint or acrylic paint if you have it, but I don't have it, so I just used poster colour paint.

  • When you paint make sure that they are no stickers or any type of paper on the box as it will cause a lumpy surface like so.

  • If anything like this happens, just use a tissue to clean the surface. Oh and remember to pile newspapers under the box before you start painting.

  • Let the box dry for how long it takes for the paint to dry under the newspaper or it will be a messy treat:(

  • When your box is completely dry, take the cover of the box and measure how much you need to make the little dividers.

  • Cut according to the line to form a little square.

  • Place the square inside the box to make sure the width and length is correct. If not draw a long across to correct the size of the divider.

  • Sorry I forgot to take a picture of this part, but take a piece of coloured paper and cut according to the size of the dividers, then glue the paper onto the dividers. After that, you can write motivational quotes or anything you prefer onto the paper and it looks so customised.(Victory fingers.)
  • Then, it is time to take out your hot glue gun and glue the dividers into place.

*Compress both sides of the box like this to make it stronger.

  • Well, the last part is totally up to you, but I hot glued some white buttons onto the box for a contrast of colour and I think it looks cool. You can totally add stickers or anything that you like.

I taped  my box on my wall as I thought it would stay there, but I was wrong. the box fell 9 over 10 times and I was so fed up with it in the end I decided to make it a desk organizer.

So I hope you liked this #RDIY. I am running late for an activity now so I can't write any more stuff. I guess this is it for this week's blog post. Stay tuned for more next week. ;)

How to get and stay motivated to exercise

Hey guys! My new year resolution 2015 is to lose weight but I don't think I am getting anywhere since I am super lazy and I literally living by my computer everyday. I hardly get up and exercise. I know this is a super unhealthy and  that is why I am creating a #RDIY to help myself get motivated to exercise. Well, I actually have two #RDIYs here for both you guys and super lazy and fat me.(I was called fat and if you are going through the same thing, I understand. There are a lot of great advice on Youtube now for the #Dear Me campaign and you should watch it. Well, I personally think that exercising isn't just to lose weight and be skinny or whatsoever. We exercise to keep our body healthy and de-stress if you get stressed easily like moi. As for those who judge other people karma will get you, so try to keep your mouth shut if you don't have anything good to say.)
Okay, I am writing super long and I have to stop for the intro as here is the #RDIY:

  • First, google for exercise motivational quotes and you will get a bunch of different quotes.
  • Right click the image and pick save image as if you are inserting it onto a word document. Then, open a new WORD document and click insert picture at the heading. Browse through your files and eventually you will find the pic. Play with the size and print them out when you are happy with everything.
  • As for those of you guys who are using PAINT, right click copy image and paste it onto a new paint document. Print the quotes out when you are happy with the size and arrangements.

  • Cut out each quote nicely.

  • Take a piece of recycle paper or any paper you like. Fold it into quarters so that the paper is stronger, then glue everything together.

  • Glue the quote onto the paper.

  •  After that, take out your colourful pens and write down any exercise you want to do.
  • For me, I wrote down:
  • jogging
  • badminton
  • stretching
  • weights
  • crunches
  • sit-ups
  • push-ups
  • You can choose any exercise you like and combine them altogether.

  • Here is a tip:
  • Write down some positive things like present or small things that you enjoy doing but aren't allowed to do or have a small snack and this will motivate you to finish your task of the day. (P. S I love Youtube :D)

  • Or you can write negative things that you hate doing. (You can probably guess that I don't do house chores.) P.S Check Joanna Soh on Youtube. She is great.

You can also label the easy and hard exercises at the back of each card thing so that you can do some easy ones when you are tired, but if you really are exhausted, have some beauty sleep, don't stress yourself out.)

  • I kept the cards in an old pencil case and yeah it looks so organised.

Well, I guess this is it for this blog post. I hope you guys enjoyed it and Happy Exercising. Don't stress out if the results aren't coming fast, relax and just enjoy exercising cuz it will take some time for your body to lose weight and convert all the fat into muscle. Trust me. If you are forcing yourself, you are eventually going to give up, but if you enjoy it, you will get there and you will be the hottest girl/guy/man/ woman out there;)
Let's be exercise buddies!

How to make Your Own Personalised Bookmarks Out Of Laminated Paper

Hey there! This week I am back with another #RDIY which is on how to make your onw personalised bookmarks. Yay! I am super excited cuz before I posted this online I gave a bunch of these bookmarks I made to my friends, teachers and family and they loved it. It sort of became a trend thing in my class and once again I am super proud of my recycling diys.<3 Well actually you guys were the ones to motivate me and kept me going. Thanks.

All my bookmark making tools and materials.

Well first of all, I got all the laminated coloured paper from my friends. They were doing some decor thing and was about to throw out all the excess but I asked for them and trust me they looked at me as if I was mad. But who cares I mean the bookmarks turned out very nice and yeah they loved it.<3

So on with the steps on how to do this:

  • First, mark down the part of the laminated paper the part that you want. I decided to draw out rectangle boxes. Just do this step first, you can alternate the shape later on.

Oh and use permanent marker.

  • Then, just cut out all of the pieces according to the lines you just draw.

  • If your rectangles are planning on doing the classic rectangle bookmark and your rectangle isn't that perfect now is the time to draw some more lines with a permanent marker with a thinner point to prefect the shape.

Then, take out your puncher and punch a hole at the middle top part of each bookmark.

  • For the longer bookmark, I decided to gently fold  them into two halves, then cut them into this pieces rather than one.

  • After that , just repeat the process and punch a hole at the center top of each bookmark.

  • Then, cut a long piece of laminated strip from the excess. You can also use some rope or thread or ribbon if you like.

  • Pass one end of the the strip through the hole and then the other.

  • Make a loop.

  • Then , pass the ends through the loop and pull gently.

Wallah your cute bookmark is ready to be customised and it looks super cute.

I cut both the "ribbon" into an equal length.

Part two: customising the bookmark
  • Just Google for motivational quotes and find one that you find inspiring.
  • After that, just take out all of your permanent markers and starting writing and drawing the quotes down.
  • I love this quote below:

  • Here is also another cute one. Just take your puncher and punch several holes on your bookmark . This is super unique plus customisable. Just be you!

Here are some samples:

My BFF has the part that says FRI FOR and you can guess that it become Friends Forever when put together.  You can also make your own twin or bff or sister bookmarks if you like.

Super tiny but cute.

I love this yellow.

Hearts anyone?

Weird shapes rule!

All the quotes. OMG They are so cute!

I hope you enjoyed this week's blog post. Sorry I took super long to post this. I have an important exam this week and had to study the week before. Thanks for viewing! Bye.
