HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN DRY ERASE BOARD OUT OF PLASTIC

Hey guys! I am  seriously sorry guys. I accidentally deleted my first post and can't retrieve it:( Anyway, I am going to repost that ASAP after I finish posting my second #RDIY.
So my mom was cleaning out her book rack and had to throw some of the "trash" and I saw this car hook package thing that has a smooth and hydrophobic surface(plastic) and I before that I was like I need a dry erase board thing to keep track of my homework. And I decided to make this Pink Board with the materials that I have in hand. I hope you like it. Remember to comment or +1 if you like this.
Plus, I am going to add on the pictures of my little brother's DIY White Board. It looks really cute.

So here is the procedure on HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN DRY ERASE BOARD OUT OF PLASTIC:

  • First, you kind of need a plastic packaging thing like this of any size. Don't worry it doesn't necessary need to be exactly the same as mine. Just a piece of hard plastic and not a plastic bad will do.(P.S If you don't have these, you can also use some book wrapping paper.)

  • Then, cut the flat surface with a pair of scissors. The flat surface will serve as the "board".

Oh and take the paper out.

This is the part of the car hooks holder or whatever it is called. ( I am not good with names.)

  • Cut out one car hook holder or the 3D part of the thing aka the part that is not flat and pops out. Just cut it out whatever the shape is.

  •  Then, take a piece of coloured paper or just some old paper you find lying in the rubbish heap. (Just make sure that the paper is not crumpled and totally neat.) (P.S If your paper is crumpled and you want it flat again, just iron the paper with low heat.)

  • Cut out the exact same size of the paper you will need.

  • After that, tape the edges together with same transparent tape. The thin one will do.

  • To make the edges look a whole lot cuter, you have two options.
  • One, use washi tape to cover the transparent tape. You can easily get these at any local craft store,
  • Two, use masking tape .
  • If you are using masking tape, tape the edges of the board.

  •  Then, take out your beautiful Sharpies and colourful pens cause we are gonna draw something.

  • Draw anything you prefer on the tape. I drew some cute hearts. Just get creative!

  • Cut out a piece of plastic from the excess material just now.(This piece must be rectangular.)

  • Tape the upper part of the 3D plastic thing with any tape you like. But before that, measure and mark the length of the base of the board. I think you don't understand what I mean, cause reading it again, I can understand a thing too. Just place the 3D plastic thing on the other side of the board and try to make it stand at any angle you like. Mine is like almost a right angle. Then, mark it with anything. After that, tape it. Now it is making some sense right?

  • This is when your rectangular piece of plastic is going to be used. Place the rectangular plastic inside of the 3D plastic thing and tape both sides of the rectangular plastic to the board. This is to make it more stable by making the centre of gravity lower plus adding a little more support to the board.

After that, you can shout" Hurray!" cuz you just accomplished all the steps on how to make your own dry erase board. I hope it helps you remember all your stuff. To tell you the truth, it kinda looks really cute on my desk and I love it!

Bonus: This is my brother's creation. He saw my Pink Board and wanted to make his own so here it is. He made a mini compared to me original one. But, it's cute too!

I guess this is it for this blog post. I'll post some other #RDIY next time. I hope you like this. Bye! Save Earth!
