How to Make Key Chain From A Bottle Cap

Hey guys! Sorry to be MIA for so long, but I had a rather important full week exam for my mid year test and there was just sooooo much to study. Anyway here is the #RDIY you are waiting for.

How to make a key chain from a plastic bottle cap. Don't throw those caps away. They make cool key chains.
  • The first thing you need to do is obviously wash the cap with water and soap to clean the cap.

  • Then, with draw what you want to on your cap. This is an Exo heart sign. My friend loves Exo and I made this for her.
  • Afterwards, just outline and colour your drawing with some Sharipes or any permanent marker that you own.

This is how the symbol looks like.

Then, I found an old key chain thing and decided to use it. You can also use beads and fishing string if you don't have this.

Using a seam ripper, I poke a hole on the middle top part of the cap and I promise I will never do this ever gain. I love my sewing utensils, but I was hurrying here. Sorry!

Here are some better tips:

  • Then use a white thread to tie the key chain thing to the cap.

Knot and cut.

  • Then, take some sticker paper. (The type they stick the stickers onto and the transparent sheet that is left behind.) and trace the cap onto the paper with a marker. Cut the circle out and glue the circle onto the cap.(to protect the beautiful drawing you made.)

Ta-Daa!

I made this for a friend and she loves it. I think this is my proudest creation. I hope you enjoyed this #RDIY. Bye!

How to Make A Braided Headband and Bracelet From Jeans and T-shirt

Hey there guys! I had been really hard working lately and created two projects in two days. So this is the #RDIY for more stylish and casual moms.
The intro stops there and I am going to share with you  what I made and how did I make this.

First of all, I am not going to lie. I found this off Pinterest and I got inspired to make one for my mom. The one on Pinterest didn't had denim on it, so I didn't copy that much. At least I think so.

Anyway, let's just get started.
First, you will need a pair of old jeans or a denim jacket. Anything really. Or if you want you can replace this material with another T-shirt.

I used this old T-shirt I categorised as a "not wearable" clothing ages ago.

  •  Then, take wrapping the t-shirt around your head and make sure that the T-shirt is long enough to cover your whole head or your mom's head, but you can't possibly go up to her and wrap the T-shirt around her head. It is a surprise.

  • After that, cut the T-shirt into long strips with a pair of fabric scissors. I cut three strips cuz I can only do the regular braid.

  • Here is the magic part, pull the strips and they will look like a thread. Pull until they are like the picture below.

  • If you are hard working, you may measure and mark out the part where you would want to cut. I did this step for my jeans as you can't pull the fabric and even is you do so, it would still look the same.
  • If you don't want to stitch, make sure that the jeans strip is equally long as the T-shirt strip. Just read on and you will understand what I mean.

  • Then, fold both sides of the jeans strip and hot glue or fabric glue or sew them together. It is best you sew, so that the edges won't fray, but anything would do.

  • Before braiding, start by making a huge knot with the three strips or more that you cut.

  • Then, braid a few regular braids.

*-You can use something heavy to hold the strips in place.

  •  Afterwards, regular stitch the jeans and one of the strips together so that the jeans strip stays in place and won't fall out.(P.S I tried braid without stitching.)(P.P.S I had to do this step because my jeans strip wasn't long enough, That is why I warned you before this. If you don't want to do it my way, just make sure that the jeans strip is long enough so that you can braid it together with the T-shirt strips.)

Knot and cut.

Repeat the process when you reach the other side aka when there is no more jeans strip to braid.

Just keep on regular braiding and knot all strips together when you are done.

  • Knot the strips of both ends together.

  • Cut off any excess.

Ta-daa! You are done! A beautiful braided headband for your mom. Just remind her to wear the knot part below her hair so that it isn't that obvious.
Well, you can also make this for anyone or yourself. This is so simple yet cute. I hope your mom likes this present. I think she will be touched by your effort.

Bonus: Try wearing it as a stylish bracelet.

It works.
P.S You can add any cute bows or ribbons or any embellishment.

I love this #RDIY and I hope you guys like this too. If you are a mother reading this post, Happy Mothers' Day! For others, good luck in making this and I would seriously feel touched if I were your mom.
Happy Early Mother's Day!

Mother's Day Special :How to Make a Super Easy and Cute Bracelet

Hey guys! I decided to make something special for my mom this year as Mother's Day is super near. I just wanted to show you what I made for my mom. I made her two #RDIYs and I wanted to share with you guys how to make them for your mom.

The first one is for jewellery loving moms.

  •  First you would want to wrap some fishing line around your wrist and make sure that you leave a lot of extra line(just so that you don't have to repeat the whole process if it is too small or it broke when you tried it on.) *and make sure that your mom can wear it.

If you can , try buying some elastic ones, so that they can stretch better when you pull the bracelet.
Don't buy thick fishing string. The knot will be super visible.

P.S I used some recycle kite string, talk about recycling.

  •  Next, thread the string through the hole on your beads. Choose a colour that your mother would love or would wear. For example, my mom is not a fan of pink, so I made her an adulty bracelet with gold colour beads. Colours do a lot of talking, so check out what colour is your mother's wardrobe mostly and chose that colour. Be aware though some colours may seem a little too childish to some moms. But you know her the best, so trust yourself.

  •  Remember to try and wear the bracelet on your own wrist before trying a double knot.
  • Take some DIY wire and twist the wire tightly around your string. Make sure that the knot holds the wire from falling off. If not, knot the string again and twist the wire tighter.
  • * Before twisting, fold the wire into two pieces. Then twist.

  • I wanted to put a bead flower on the bracelet, so I passed the flower through the wire. You can also use a larger and different colour bead if you do not have a bead flower.

  • Lastly I twisted the excess wire into a swirl and press it down.

  • Oh and now you can cut off the excess line.

If you can find an old or unused jewellery box to keep the present. I love this heart shaped one.

Ta-daa!

I love this #RDIY and I hope you guys like this bracelet too. If you are a mother reading this post, Happy Mothers' Day! For others, good luck in making this and I would seriously feel touched if I were your mom.
