How to Make Key Chain From A Bottle Cap

Hey guys! Sorry to be MIA for so long, but I had a rather important full week exam for my mid year test and there was just sooooo much to study. Anyway here is the #RDIY you are waiting for.

How to make a key chain from a plastic bottle cap. Don't throw those caps away. They make cool key chains.
  • The first thing you need to do is obviously wash the cap with water and soap to clean the cap.

  • Then, with draw what you want to on your cap. This is an Exo heart sign. My friend loves Exo and I made this for her.
  • Afterwards, just outline and colour your drawing with some Sharipes or any permanent marker that you own.

This is how the symbol looks like.

Then, I found an old key chain thing and decided to use it. You can also use beads and fishing string if you don't have this.

Using a seam ripper, I poke a hole on the middle top part of the cap and I promise I will never do this ever gain. I love my sewing utensils, but I was hurrying here. Sorry!

Here are some better tips:

  • Then use a white thread to tie the key chain thing to the cap.

Knot and cut.

  • Then, take some sticker paper. (The type they stick the stickers onto and the transparent sheet that is left behind.) and trace the cap onto the paper with a marker. Cut the circle out and glue the circle onto the cap.(to protect the beautiful drawing you made.)

Ta-Daa!

I made this for a friend and she loves it. I think this is my proudest creation. I hope you enjoyed this #RDIY. Bye!

Love
Jasmine
